The most widely used austenitic stainless steel — supplied, fabricated, and installed by SS Piping Qatar.
Grade 304 (18% chromium, 8% nickel) is the backbone of stainless steel work in Qatar: kitchen equipment, food processing lines, potable water utilities, interior handrails, cladding, and general fabrication. Its low-carbon variant 304L resists carbide precipitation during welding, keeping joints corrosion-free without post-weld annealing.
We stock 304/304L as seamless and welded pipes (ASTM A312), sanitary tubes (ASTM A270), sheets and plates (ASTM A240), angles, and a full range of butt-weld fittings and flanges — all traceable to EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates and delivered anywhere in Qatar from our Salwa Road warehouse.

Commercial kitchen fabrication, tables, hoods, and dry-area process lines. 304 is the default food-contact grade where chloride exposure is limited.

When NOT to Use 304
Coastal, marine, or CIP-chemical exposure calls for Grade 316/316L — 304 can pit in Qatar's salty coastal humidity.
