Desalination intakes, seawater cooling loops, sour gas utilities, and chemical reactors push standard austenitic steels past their limits. Duplex 2205 (UNS S32205) and Super Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750) combine austenitic and ferritic structures for roughly double the yield strength of 316L, PREN values of 35–42, and outstanding resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
Welding duplex correctly is the hard part — and our differentiator. Our WPS-controlled procedures hold heat input between 0.5 and 1.5 kJ/mm and verify the 50/50 phase balance, preserving toughness and corrosion performance.
